UNGC
Challenge
As the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, the UN Global Compact brings together organizations committed to human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. Its mission is profoundly eudaimonic—centered on shared purpose and human flourishing. As it has evolved, the UNGC needed a long-term partner to help it strengthen values alignment with diverse stakeholders, deepen employee listening, improve team effectiveness, and sustain a coherent culture across a global system.
APPROACH
For over a decade, we have partnered with the UN Global Compact to co-create its Values and Behaviors and help bring them to life across the organization. We supported employee listening at scale, designed moments for reflection and connection, strengthened team effectiveness, and served as a steady advisor to leaders navigating complexity. Our role adapted as the organization grew—from facilitator to coach to thought partner—helping teams build the mindset and practices needed for a more intentional, connected, values-led culture rooted in UNGC’s mission.

Davis Pier
Challenge
As Davis Pier grew quickly, its collaborative and collegial culture sometimes made it hard for leaders and staff to be fully transparent, push on difficult issues, and hold one another accountable. Project delivery, people management, and business development all revealed the need for shared norms and clearer, more candid communication across the organization.
APPROACH
Eudaimonic by Design partnered with Davis Pier to introduce a shared mindset of mutual learning through a series of leadership workshops and all-staff sessions. Over the course of a year, through regular gatherings, the leadership team explored key values and behaviours, practised them on real issues, and consistently reapplied the mindset to areas such as project delivery, growth, and people management. Leaders honed the skills of asking genuine questions, testing assumptions, and designing solutions together—shifting communication from “polite” to purposeful. This steady cadence of practice, reflection, and application ensured the work was not theoretical but embedded in moments that truly mattered.

Ngwaagan Gamig Recovery Centre Inc.
Challenge
Ngwaagan Gamig Recovery Centre, an Indigenous-operated treatment centre on the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, sought to strengthen its culturally based addictions treatment programs by integrating evidence-informed practices in a way that honoured and respected Anishinaabe teachings. At the same time, the organization wanted to equip its managers with foundational leadership skills to better support staff, clients, and community.
APPROACH
Eudaimonic by Design partnered with Ngwaagan Gamig across multiple engagements that began with strengths-based workshops rooted in Indigenous worldviews. Sessions invited positive psychology research as complementary strengths-based practices with the Seven Grandfather Teachings, the Medicine Wheel, and other Anishinaabe teachings at the core. Through experiential learning, dialogue, and co-creation, staff developed shared vocabulary, culturally grounded interventions, and practical tools for strengthening wellbeing. A six-module leadership foundations program later deepened these efforts, helping managers build skills in coaching, feedback, prioritization, and inclusive leadership to better steward Ngwaagan Gamig’s mission.

DHL Express
Challenge
DHL Express Canada wanted a clearer, shared picture of what “Sales Greatness” truly meant—so they could attract the right people, grow the right capabilities, and strengthen the structures that help talent thrive. Leadership needed alignment, and top performers needed to feel heard in shaping what would enable sustainable excellence.
APPROACH
Eudaimonic by Design led a research-driven process combining the top published science, psychometric evaluation, and highly participatory virtual workshops. We invited top talent to define "Sales Greatness" from the perspectives of their customers, colleagues, and the company, surfacing the capabilities and structural supports that mattered most. Through facilitated dialogue and synthesis, we clarified which levers mattered most and where they should continue to invest. This culminated in a practical, human-centred playbook that unified leadership around priorities while making participants feel valued and heard.
